- Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.

- Must be available to work shifts specified by position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekend/holidays.

Shift hours vary by position

1st shift           5:00am to 1:30pm

2nd shift          2:00pm to 10:30pm

3rd shift          10:30pm to 6:00am

JOB OPENINGS

 

FABRICATION ASSEMBLER (2nd Shift)

Primary duties include finishing detailed panel assembly and liners. Uses specifications, blue prints, mylar and work orders. Deburrs and cleans insert drill holes prior to insert installation. Applies adhesive to plugs/sleeves and panel prior to plug/sleeve installation. Prepares panel assemblies for edge fill operation. Mixes and applies edge-fill to the undercut of the panels. Hand routes with pneumatic hand router all detailed liners using the specified tool required. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test. $14.25/hr

 

LAY UP OPERATOR (3rd Shift)

Primarily responsible for laying up panels and liners prior to the work order to load and unload into the press and assembling precut material slices (Balsa, Aluminum, Nomex) into panels or liners. Will check core accuracy according to work order and that orders are properly signed off on. Prepare and stage all left over materials to be returned back to warehouse. Ensures all materials used are within shelf life requirements Makes sure housekeeping is being maintained and all containers are properly labeled. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Starting Pay: 14.25/hr

 

SAW OPERATOR (2nd & 3rd Shift)

Responsible for cutting/slicing material according to specific product work instructions and GWI specifications.  Set up Saw for initial cut, check thickness and dimensions of first part produced.  Constantly check material for thickness and density.  Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance.  Counts, cleans and covers up material after the order is completed. Forklift experience a plus.  Acceptable Audiometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Starting Pay Rate: 14.25/hr.

 

EXPANDER OPERATOR (1st & 3rd Shift)

Responsible for expanding Nomex block per company guidelines.  Press blocks, put aluminum pin loops to facilitate expansion process, record material usage and press times on shop work order.  Expands blocks to required size per shop work order and record expanded size of block and cell size.  Heat set blocks using programs, fills out work orders, and cleans work area. Forklift experience a plus.  Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $14.25/hr.

 

PACKER/SHIPPER (2nd Shift)

General duties in Shipping/Receiving including:  Constructs pallets, assist in the packaging of finished Panel and Liner Products.  Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, hammer, nail gun, staple gun, steel strapping equipment and general equipment associated with shipping department.  Must be able to follow directions and have a good understanding of general safety. Basic PC Computer Skills required. Forklift experience a plus. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $14.25/hr.

 

FORKLIFT - MATERIAL HANDLER - SAWS (2nd Shift)

Assists receiving Honeycomb from building #2 (Dipping).  Inspects material for damage and verifies that density/dimensions conform to the work order. Moves and transports material where needed. Cuts and trims core slices for customer orders and performs sampling. Prepares blocks for cutting on the Femco Saws. Moves resin totes to B2 storage area. Reports block receipts to Visual software. Must have Forklift experience and acceptable driving record. Acceptable Audiometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Starting Pay Rate: $14.25/hr. (may vary upon experience)

 

FORKLIFT - MATERIAL HANDLER - ASSEMBLY (1st Shift)

Operates a forklift or utility cart to move and stage finished goods within the building, and delivers finished goods to shipping to maintain on-time delivery. Moves and transports material where needed. Prepares rotable containers/A-frames for shipping. Assists production control clerk with coordination of finished goods. Enters inventory transaction into computer for all issue, receipt and transfer material movements. Keep inventory of shipping containers and report issues. Must have Forklift experience and acceptable driving record. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required. Starting Pay: 14.25/hr (may vary upon experience)

 

FORKLIFT - MATERIAL HANDLER - Receiving (1st & 2nd Shift)

This job requires pulling, staging, and transporting material to support all areas of the plant and is responsible for material accuracy by recording movement of all materials.  Is responsible for entering and tracking daily issues and transfers to computer and perform daily cycle counts.  Will also load and unload containers of incoming material from trailers.  Will be trained in packaging and material shearing operations for backup support.  Other duties may include assisting in other areas of the plant. This position works in a very fast paced environment. Basic PC Computer Skills required.  Must have Forklift experience and have a valid California Driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Minimum composite score of 240 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $14.25/hr. (may vary upon experience)

 

DIP OPERATOR TRAINEE (2nd and 3rd Shift)

Primary duties include using programs for dipping core blocks in a dip tank which soaks them with a special coating material.  Removing dipped core blocks and setting up in oven to cure and then to cool.  Must be able to weigh, measure, calculate and record specific data.  Responsible to insure all products are produced according to product specific work instructions and specifications. Primary applicants will have experience in manufacturing equipment. Forklift experience a plus. Acceptable Spirometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $15.38/hr.

 

PRE-PREG OPERATOR TRAINEE (2nd Shift)

Primary duties include set up and operation of a continuous process coating machine work center.  Responsible to insure all products are produced according to product specific work instructions and specifications. Collects, calculates and records data necessary for proper quality and inventory maintenance. Primary applicants will have experience operating coating, laminating, milling, extruding or other similar production process machinery. Forklift experience a plus. Acceptable Spirometry test results required. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test is required.  Starting Pay Rate: $16.38/hr.

 

CNC OPERATOR / MACHINIST - Non-Metallic (2nd Shift)

Reviews setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished work piece. Using machine controls, operator retrieves programs. Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine. Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in setup instructions. Measures work piece for conformance to specifications. Notifies supervisor of discrepancies. Machines materials other than metal such as composites, plastic, and rubber. Check cutter size and wear. Also add edits to accommodate actual cutter diameter to prevent product not meeting tolerances. Must have minimum 1 year CNC machining experience. Minimum composite score of 265 on the Wonderlic Basic Math Skill Test required. Starting Pay: $20.17/hr.
